Money is one of those things that you are either good with or your not. Yes you can learn a certain amount of restraint but you are still prone to impulsebuys. But we must remember that impulse buys drive most of western retail ecomony. This is the justification I make to myself when I make some what most people would call unwise purchases.

My latest problem was the recent sale on http://store.steampowered.com for the independance day holiday. Many of there products were massively reduced plus there were daily sales that were huge. In total I would say I spent €130 worth of games that would normally have cost €600. There are nearly 140 games now in my steam store list, many of which I havent played yet. I will of dourse play them, later. Unfortunetly later is one of those magical times that is never now.

Besides from the games I am also trying to track down an ipad. I can hear the apple haters howling from here but still I am going to get one. Let me just say that I am not an apple fanboi. I own no apple products at the moment but there is something about the ipad that draws me in. For example I could be sitting outside right now with all the time in the world to write this post. As it stands I have 30 minutes left on my laptop. Plus I can't touch the screen. On monday I was sitting on my bed watching TV and I wanted to quickly look something up on the old interwebs. I couldnt be arsed turning on my computer or going and finding my laptop and plug. I want to be able to write stuff wherever and find it a pleasureable experience.

Now the big expenditure is I am hoping to buy a house soon. The house is just around the corner from where I live currently and in fact is nearly a carbon copy of the house I am in now. The difference with this house will be that I will own it and Lorraine and I can finally start living together.

All of this costs money and I now see it moving quickly out of my pocket into the hands of Steam, Apple and Mortgage lenders. But money is there to be spent. Saving is fine and I will continue to do this but I also know what I want and the money will continue to go out until I get it.

Oh and books and movies from amazon are neccesities so I will continue to buy them forever.
